Why protecting your site with an SSL is now more important than ever
Web security is always a major concern, and it is always a good idea to have a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for your website. SSL certificates create security and allow you to have better SEO and to sell items through your website. A recent change has made SSL certificates even more important than they used to be. So make sure you are incorporating SSL certificates into your website design.

Starting in July of 2018, Google Chrome, one of the world’s major web browsers, began marking every website without an SSL certificate as not secure. That means that if your web site does not have an SSL certificate, Chrome will display to its users that your site is not secure and this will cause internet users to not not trust your site, or will stop them from even visiting it. If you do not have an SSL certificate, Google Chrome will display in the browser bar that your website is not secure. And that will cause users to back away. If you’re wanting to test your websites security measures, you could have a service test your site, you’ll get back a report that’s a version of a vulnerability assessment template highlighting it’s weaknesses and how to rectify them.

Make sure you have an SSL certificate for your website, or you will lose visitors and create a sense of distrust around your website and brand.
